it’s gloomy and raining outside, i’m super behind on homework, and the next 6 hours are full of student group meetings, but the arrival of Smoke Signals’ Lamp Post EP brightened my day :D

We wanted to have something special in every aspect of this record, from writing and recording the music to the actual physical CD itself. We decided on a “DIY” approach and had all our physical copies hand stamped by the members of the band. We ordered all the raw materials and put it all together ourselves. The front cover that sports the main logo was a linoleum stamp that Vincent designed and carved. We wanted the back to be hand-carved, but all that small type wouldn’t have shown up legibly. So we laser-cut a rubber stamp for clarity.
So, we stamped all 500 copies of The Lamp Post EP, front and back (1000 surfaces). We did this so each one was different and personal to whoever buys it. Having 500 copies, we decided to number each of them to further personalize them. Each of them is unique and has a story. Some of them have special ink designs and hand drawn goodies. Order one and you might get a special one! We really hope you like it and buy yours today!
